Believe in Grace

Grace O’Malley, the pirate queen of Ireland, lived during the time of Queen Elizabeth I and to this day is still considered as one of the world’s most influential women in history. Inspired by the female archetype, after which even the style icon Grace Kelly was named, we created the Special Edition “Believe in Grace”. It is a homage to female strength and beauty.

Colours, prints and designs originate in the wildness of Ireland’s coast and sea. Caftan, Cape and Kimono will launch as extravagant statement pieces in new trend colours enriched with volant details.

By selling our clothes, we responsibly support environmental and social projects such as "TERRE DES FEMMES," an organization that specifically advocates for self-determined and free lives for girls and women worldwide.

About

Grace O’Malley

Grace O’Malley up to this day symbolizes female strength and willpower. Born in 1530 in Ireland as the daughter of a clan chief, she made a name for herself as the first woman to lead a military at sea against England. As “The Pirate Queen” she became an Irish national heroine around whom numerous poems and stories of modern times ramble. She inspired with her military mastermind, her navigational talent, her feeling for the sea and her mercy towards the captured enemies. We at Lemanjá admire her courage, her strength and her feminine gentleness.
